PASTA with BELL PEPPERS and BREAD CRUMBS
Show
Ingredients
6 TBS Olive Oil
1 Large RED or YELLOW BELL PEPPER, cut into thin strips
3 cloves of smashed GARLIC
1/2 Cup of BREAD CRUMBS
1/2 tsp dried RED PEPPER FLAKES (hot)
1/2 lb of long PASTA (Spaghetti, fetucini, linguini, etc)
Method
THOUGH I didn't make this on the show, I wanted to give you the recipe 'coz it's super easy, yummy and kind o' funky. AND it has bell peppers in it!
Boil the pasta in a giant pot of salty water.
Saute the bell peppers in a couple of tablespoons of olive oil for about 2 minutes. Take the strips out of the pan and set aside.
Over high heat, add remaining oil and when hot add the garlic. Satue for about 15 seconds and add the bread crumbs and hot pepper flakes. Stir, stir, stir and cook till the bread crumbs begin to brown lightly.
Drain the pasta when done and add to a giant bowl. Dump the sauteed bread crumbs and bell pepper slices to the bowl and toss it all together. Add a little salt and pepper to taste.
EAT IT!
